saravanan chanemouganandam

Hi all,

I am cross compiling and running the latest madwifi on the IXP425 big endian arm-linux. The problem is that
why I am not getting the version of the latest madwifi driver , part identification and rate informations on the console
when loading the ath_pci.ko module and ath_rate.ko

# insmod wlan.ko

dmesg snapshot shows the following madwifi load information..

ath_pci: wifi0: Atheros 5212: mem=0x48000000, irq=28

The result is same when madwifi built into linux kernel  image. Can anybody experience such
message with madwifi ?

Sara

Hej Sara,

first let me introduce me, because I'm new to this list: I'm Boris from
Kiel, Germany. I use Debian Linux since quite some years and subscribed
to this list because I had some troubles with Atheros and madwifi.

So during my experiments I also had the problem concerning versions and
how to find out the version of the running driver. Try this:

modinfo ath_pci

Boris

Try using "dmesg -n 8" to enable printing all kernel messages on the
console.

And please don't cross-post.
