Hardware error; resetting

Saravanan Chanemouganandam-2

I am trying to setup a WDS bridge using madwifi on Intel IXP425 board with Atheros miniPCI card. The board is running snapgear linux 2.6.17 and the

latest madwifi svn revision r3746 built into the kernel image. The dmesg shows

PPP generic driver version 2.4.2

PPP Deflate Compression module registered

PPP BSD Compression module registered

PPP MPPE Compression module registered

NET: Registered protocol family 24

PCI: enabling device 0000:00:0f.0 (0340 -> 0342)

MadWifi: ath_attach: Switching rfkill capability off.

unable to load wlan_scan_sta

ath_pci: wifi0: Atheros 5212: mem=0x48000000, irq=28

wlan: mac acl policy registered

Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 7.00alpha2

After WDS setup successfully, the client is associated to the AP but I keep getting the following error messages very rarely and randomly

wifi0: ath_fatal_tasklet: Hardware error; resetting.

wifi0: ath_fatal_tasklet: Hardware error; resetting.

wifi0: ath_fatal_tasklet: Hardware error; resetting.

Can anybody precise me what cause this type of fatal harware restting error ?

Also the dmesg shows a module load error "unable to load wlan_scan_sta" when it is forcefully built into kernel image.
